Raised in the scenic landscape of Door County, painter Alicia Daubner developed a love for oil painting early on, capturing the transient beauty of her surroundings. Her work is a study in realism, transforming fleeting moments into evocative paintings that resonate like a distant memory. This unique perspective earned her awards in high school and college, solidifying her path as a fine artist.
After college, Alicia embarked on a two-decade-long career as a graphic designer and illustrator, branding clients such as Lambeau Field, Camp Randall Stadium, and Door County Brewing Company. All the while, she remained committed to her first love of painting. Now, she draws on her design background, bringing a sophisticated eye for composition and narrative to her canvases. Her art has been featured around the Midwest, including shows at The Guenzel Gallery, The Miller Art Museum, The Geneva Center for the Arts and Public Works Gallery.
Alicia splits her time between Chicago and Sister Bay, where she continues to create art inspired by the landscapes and memories that shaped her.
